Filters
Understand every filter category, how multiple values combine, and which controls need an account.
Filters can be set from the search bar, the filter panel, or the URL. All three edit the same state.
The filters that decide whether a job appears

| C2C | Jobs that state corp-to-corp engagement is available. |
| Exclusions | Text, roles, seniority, industries, skills, arrangements, or companies to remove. |
How values combine
Different filter categories use and. A seniority filter plus a country plus a salary floor means a job must clear all three.
Multiple values inside most categories use or. Selecting Backend and Full-stack keeps either role. Skills can be switched from Match any to Match all when every selected skill is required.
Country and Worldwide only are mutually exclusive:
- Country asks “Can this employer hire from here?” and retains unrestricted jobs.
- Worldwide asks “Does this employer accept applicants from anywhere?”
Salary filters
Salary values are compared as normalized annual USD amounts, even when the posting states another currency or period.
- Minimum salary removes jobs whose known upper bound is below your floor.
- Maximum salary is useful when searching junior roles or testing a market band; it is not a request to employers.
- Has salary removes every job without a usable stated range.
Do not combine a high floor with Has salary unless pay disclosure is a hard requirement. Otherwise you may hide relevant jobs merely because the employer kept the number out of the post.
Language filtering
List the languages you can work in. A job with no language requirement remains; a job requiring an unlisted language is removed. Optional language preferences do not act like hard requirements.
This filter describes your language ability, not the language in which the post was written.
Exclusions
Exclusions are best for stable deal-breakers:
- industries you will not work in;
- a technology you explicitly want to avoid;
- your current employer;
- agencies or recurring terms that pollute a search.
Use them sparingly. Excluding a broad text term can remove a good job that only mentions the term in passing.
Sorting and personal filters
Newest and Salary work for everyone. Relevance, Hide viewed, and minimum profile match depend on your account because their values are computed from your profile or history.
When you share a URL, public filters travel with it. Personal state does not. A signed-out visitor cannot reproduce your relevance order or viewed marks.
