Sources and the live pipeline
See how a raw source becomes a published job, submit a missing source, and understand why some submissions are rejected.
How Remotera gets jobs is a live view of the ingestion system. Its counters update from the real queues and sources; the map is not a sample animation.
Follow a posting through the map
A source can be a public Telegram channel, an employer careers page, a supported ATS board, or selected Reddit content. A candidate posting then moves through:
- classification as a real, remote job;
- duplicate detection across sources;
- discovery of the employer's own page when available;
- extraction of salary, location, skills, role, and other structured facts;
- screening against confirmed scam entries;
- publication to search and alerts.
A posting can leave the path because it is not a job, is not remote, duplicates an existing canonical job, belongs to a blocked source, or cannot be read reliably. Published jobs can later be archived when the source removes them or they pass the active freshness window.
Read the counters
- Source nodes show where collection starts and how many sources are active.
- Stage nodes show queued, active, delayed, failed, and completed work.
- Outcome nodes show publication, rejection, or duplicate merging.
- Lit connections indicate current movement.
Drag, zoom, and select a node for its details. If the page reports a lost connection, the visible numbers are frozen until polling recovers.
Submit a missing source
Use Feed the pipeline on the map. Accepted inputs are:
- an employer's careers-page URL;
- a supported ATS board URL;
- a public Telegram channel handle such as
@example_jobs.
The submission card follows your source through screening, discovery, crawling, classification, deduplication, enrichment, parsing, and publication. You can close the page and return while the stored tracking token remains in that browser.
Why a source can be refused
The form rejects inputs that cannot become a useful primary source, including:
- an invalid or private URL or Telegram handle;
- a general job aggregator instead of an employer's own page or ATS board;
- a subreddit, because Reddit collection is managed separately;
- a source or employer already being tracked;
- a board with no reachable remote postings;
- an unreachable page or a confirmed scam match.
A source can be valid and still publish zero jobs. The crawl may find only old, duplicate, non-remote, or otherwise rejected postings.
Submission credits
When a submitted source publishes jobs, the completion dialog shows any credits earned. Signed-in submissions are associated with the account directly. Anonymous submissions can be claimed by signing in through the completion dialog while the claim token is available.
The live amount shown by the product is authoritative; do not assume a fixed reward from documentation.
To challenge a safety decision or report a fraudulent source, use the scam registry rather than repeatedly resubmitting the same URL.
