Browser extension
Install the Chrome beta, fill supported application forms from your profile, and review anything the extension cannot answer safely.
The Remotera extension fills job application forms in your own Chrome browser. It uses your saved profile and answers, then records the attempt in your application history.
The extension is a private beta and is installed manually. Request access from the extension page before downloading it.
Install the beta
Sign in and open Auto-apply. If you see the early-access gate, choose Request access and wait for the grant on your account.
Download and unzip the Chrome build when the button appears.
Open chrome://extensions, enable Developer mode, choose Load unpacked,
and select the unzipped folder.
Pin Remotera, open its side panel, and sign in to Remotera in Chrome. The extension uses the website session; it does not require an API key.
Chrome may occasionally warn about a developer-mode extension. That is expected for a sideloaded beta.
Fill a form you opened
On a detected application form, choose Fill with Remotera or use the right-click action Fill application form with Remotera. You can also choose Fill in my browser from a Remotera apply page.
A helper fill always stops for your review. Check:
- contact details and work location;
- authorization, sponsorship, notice, and salary answers;
- uploaded résumé or targeted CV;
- free-text answers and cover letter;
- any required field left empty.
Submitting is a separate action. Captchas, login walls, and questions without a safe answer are parked for you instead of guessed.
Use the side panel
The panel contains the job feed, apply queue, history, profile answers, and settings. From there you can:
- inspect queued and parked attempts;
- answer profile gaps and reuse saved answers;
- disable the extension on specific sites;
- set pacing and daily caps;
- turn Autopilot off immediately from the header.
Automatic queue behavior follows its own submit policy. It does not change the review stop for a helper fill you started manually.
Improve fill quality
The extension can only use facts it has. Before a serious application run:
- complete your profile;
- upload the résumé you actually want attached;
- answer common profile gaps;
- set honest salary, authorization, and notice-period defaults;
- review the first few forms from each ATS carefully.
If the same field is repeatedly wrong, correct the saved profile or reusable answer rather than patching each form.
Permissions and privacy
Application forms live on many domains, so the extension needs broad site access to detect and fill them. It reads a page for application-form fields when you start a fill or enable automation; it does not collect a general history of pages you browse. It reads the Remotera session cookie, not other sites' cookies.
The extension stores settings and parts of its review queue locally. Application records and saved answers sync to your account. See Privacy and data for the full boundary.
Current limits
- Chrome only; there is no store installation yet.
- Unsupported, login-gated, or heavily interactive forms may be parked.
- A server-required version can force an update before the panel continues.
- Extension use does not spend MCP credits.
